Unfolding Space

The temporary installation in public space at an old shipyard in Venice worked with textile, glass, ropes, traction and natural effects. It re-acts between "free space", effects of influence and weight tearing.

Unfolding Space is created as a conclusion after a three-month artist-in-residence at Palazzo Trevisan degli Ulivi with Pro Helvetia in Venice.

Residents of the city were invited to interact with the intervention. Among others, Zoe Francia Lamattina & Claudia Catanzaro created the performance "grivigli in corso" through physical interactions with threads.

The group "Yarnbombing Giudecca" spread out and took space while holding a crochet session. In addition, the "Collectivo De Perspective" participated with spatial furniture objects.
