„Screen“ roots etymologically in the Old High German term „Skirm“ which means shelter. This first and primitive form of architecture searches shelter for bodies and is strongly connected to textile material. We wear shelters, we need to be sheltered, we live in shelters, but at the same time it carries our narratives, our language and culture.
Being in a foreign country without my language led to the works that research textile as a boundary object between body, language and space.
