Invited by the Canton of Bern to participate in the art and architecture competition for the Breitfeld Elementary School, I proposed Prima Volta — a series of 2 spatial textile objects: a cupola and a half-circular form, suspended from the ceiling.
Textile is a threshold – suspended between body and built space. It touches, and is touched by, ideas of corporeality, materiality, and sense. These spatial textile objects call the body into relation, open space to multisensory encounter and extend an invitation to remain.
